this kid.
This kid cracks me up daily.

Here's a homework assignment from a couple months ago. I had to take a picture of it to share with Mo-ma and Pop. He's answering how he was eaten by a dragon and what it was like.

yup, he knows what a uvula is. And how to spell it. And please ignore the grease stains on the homework.
love that kid.

I love January.
This is the month when my parents come out for a visit. And it always involves skiing! We were a bit sick and didn't get to go with my Dad as much as usual - but at least he got to Sundance, Snowbird, Deer Valley, Brighton, and Park City. Here are some shots of us at Deer Valley and Park City.
In front of Stein Erikson Lodge.

And seriously, Deer Valley is such an amazing place. Every single employee is sooo nice to you. It doesn't matter that they are paid to be; they are! It's so nice when you go to unload your gear and they take care of it for you. The lifts are fast, there are no lines, the trails are beautiful, and the food is amazing! And I must add, no snowboarders. That seals it for me. No one to scrape all the snow off.

Speaking of snowboarders, we went to Brighton the other night with the family because kids ski free and we had 2 for 1 coupons for the adults. Never again. Way too many kids (and by kids, I mean anyone from 5 to 20) means way too many people who are too fast and out of control and don't know what they're doing. On our first run, my dad got taken out by one of 'em. Nice kid, apologetic and all - but has no business going that fast. moron.
The highlight of the night was seeing this little guy walking across the trail as we were riding the lift. You can't tell but this brown blob is a porcupine! A big one! As Ryan said, "That's not something you see every day."
